About your membership

Passport offers three tiers: Silver (free), Gold, and Platinum. You can change tiers any time. For a full comparison of benefits, visit the Membership page. This help section covers how to manage your existing membership.

Change your tier in 3 steps

  1. Sign in. Open My Account → Membership.
  2. Choose a new tier. Click Change Tier and pick the tier you want.
  3. Confirm. Pay (for upgrades) or confirm (for downgrades). Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of your current billing cycle.

Cancel your membership

You can cancel Gold or Platinum any time from My Account → Membership → Cancel.

  • Your membership stays active until the end of the current billing period.
  • You will not be charged for the next cycle.
  • Complimentary benefits already used (e.g., a redeemed cruise certificate) remain valid.
  • Passport Points already earned stay in your account — they do not expire.

Refund policy

Membership refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis for unused membership periods. Refunds are not provided for:

  • Complimentary benefits already redeemed (cruise certificates, hotel tier access)
  • Promotional or discounted memberships
  • Add-ons after activation

Contact Support to request a refund. Please include your member ID and the reason for the request.

Membership FAQs

When does my upgrade take effect?

Upgrades are instant. You will have access to the new tier's benefits as soon as the payment is processed.

When does my downgrade take effect?

At the end of your current billing cycle. You keep your current tier's benefits until then.

Do I lose my points if I downgrade or cancel?

No. Passport Points belong to you and do not expire. You can continue to use them on any tier (including Silver, the free tier).

I redeemed a complimentary cruise certificate — can I still get a refund?

Refunds are not issued for membership periods where complimentary benefits have already been redeemed.

Why was I charged again after cancelling?

Make sure the cancellation was completed before your next renewal date. If you were charged after a confirmed cancellation, contact Support with your cancellation confirmation.

Can I gift a Gold or Platinum membership?

Not at this time. Memberships are tied to the purchasing account.
