Maximising Airline Alliances and Partnerships with Points
Learn how to get more from your Passport Points by tapping into airline alliances and partner networks, unlocking smarter redemptions, better routes, and more value every time you fly.
Airline alliances and partnerships allow travellers to access a broader network of destinations and redemption opportunities. By understanding how these global groupings work, you can make the most of your loyalty memberships, especially when paired with the flexibility of Passport Points.
How Alliances Work
Airline alliances are groups of carriers that collaborate to offer shared benefits across their networks. This includes codesharing, lounge access, and, importantly, reward point redemptions across alliance members. Some airlines also maintain individual partnerships outside of these alliances, offering further ways to earn and redeem.
With Passport, you can earn points through everyday purchases, then transfer those points to eligible airline programs to redeem across a wide range of carriers and routes.
