Frequently Asked Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Passport has a free Silver tier where you can earn and redeem Passport Points with no cost.
For frequent travellers or power users, we also offer Gold and Platinum upgrades with extra perks like higher points acceleration, hotel benefits, and various other perks. You can stay free forever, or upgrade when you’re ready - no pressure.

Do Passport Points expire?

No. Passport Points never expire.
If your account is inactive for 18 months, it simply goes into hibernation mode. All your points stay safe, and you can reactivate by sending us a quick email. Unlike airline miles that can vanish if you don’t fly, your Passport Points are protected.

What if I already earn credit card or airline points?

That’s the beauty of Passport — you can double-dip.

  • Earn credit card points from your bank.
  • Earn loyalty points directly from the airline or hotel.
  • On top of that, earn Passport Points from the same purchase.

It’s not an either/or choice — Passport stacks on top of the rewards you already collect.

Is the browser extension safe?

Yes. The extension is designed for privacy and transparency.

  • We don’t store your passwords.
  • We don’t track unrelated browsing activity.
  • It only activates on partner retailers to confirm you earn points by matching the website on your computer

Think of it like a “loyalty card swipe” that runs silently in the background, making sure you never miss points. You stay in control, and you can uninstall anytime.

Where can I use Passport?

Passport works in 21 countries and thousands of global retailers. When you shop at our partner retailers you’ll earn points. And when it’s time to redeem, you can transfer those points to some of the best airline and hotel programs worldwide.

How do I redeem my points?

You can:

  • Transfer Passport Points directly to a partner airline or hotel loyalty program.
  • Use our points in the travel portal to book a vast array of travel directly
  • Redeem for many more exciting options coming soon, including gift cards and eSIMs.

It’s all in your hands — no blackout dates, no hidden rules.

How fast do points show up in my account?

Most points from online shopping appear as pending within a couple of days.
Once the retailer confirms the purchase (usually within 30–60 days), points move to your available balance. This works the same way as cashback sites — but instead of cash, you’re building a currency designed for travel.

What’s the catch?

There isn’t one.
Passport is funded the same way cashback sites are: retailers pay us a commission when you shop through us. Instead of giving you a small cash rebate, we turn that commission into a currency (Passport Points) that you can accelerate, transfer, and redeem for travel rewards.
